Dr Adam is a consultant neurologist. He sees patients with a wide variety of neurological conditions and has particular expertise in movement disorders and memory problems.
Particular interests:
- Deep Brain Stimulation
- Movement disorders, including Parkinson's disease, tremor and Huntington's disease
- Botulinum toxin therapy (for movement disorders, migraine and hyperhidrosis)
- Dementia including Alzheimer’s disease
- Autoimmune conditions including Multiple Sclerosis

- Migraine and other headaches
- Stroke
Dr Adam trained in neurology in the UK at Cambridge and Queen Square, London, where he completed a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience. He has also trained in neurology and psychiatry in the USA at New York University Medical Centre, and completed fellowships as the inaugural ABN/ANZAN fellow at Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney, and as the John Morris Movement Disorders Fellow at Westmead.
Dr Adam works at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and admits private patients to The Wesley Hospital and St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital. He also offers consultation service at Brisbane Private Hospital. He is the clinical lead for deep brain stimulation at The Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital, and works with Briz Brain & Spine Neurosurgeon, Dr Norman Ma, to provide this procedure for Parkinson’s, dystonia and tremor.

Dr Rohan Brunello is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with special interest in hip and knee arthroplasty, lower limb surgery/arthroscopy and trauma.
He has a particular focus on Enhanced Recovery Programs in lower limb joint replacement and muscle sparing/minimally invasive hip surgery. Dr Brunello has adopted the Direct Superior Approach for Total Hip Replacement in 2016 and now trains and mentors surgeons for this approach in Asia-Pacific. Dr Brunello treats acute and chronic pelvic conditions, including sacro-iliac joint dysfunction.
Dr Brunello underwent 12 months sub-specialty Training in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty, Pelvic/Acetabular Trauma and Reconstruction at St Georges Hospital, London 2011-12. Wide exposure was gained in the treatment of primary, complex and revision joint replacement. He subsequently went on to work in one of the UK’s busiest pelvic and acetabular trauma.
He has a Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery (with honours) and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement Studies) from the University of Queensland. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Orthopaedics) and Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
Dr Brunello commenced private practice at the Wesley Orthopaedic and Sports Injury Clinic in 2012. He is also a Visiting Specialist in Orthopaedics at Prince Charles Hospital and the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
Away from work, he enjoys camping/exploring the Australian continent with his family and tinkering with old 4wds.

Dr Dan McLaughlin is a Neurologist specialising in treatment of adults with seizure disorders. His research interests are the pharmacology of anti-epilepsy drugs. Over twenty-five years he has been a clinical investigator in many trials assessing the newer antiepileptic drugs. Dr McLaughlin sees people with other neurological disorders and can provide electroencephalogram (EEG) and nerve conduction studies.
