First Appointment
Your initial consultation will take up to 30 minutes. In this consultation, your specialist will start to build your medical profile from your history and personal account of symptoms.
Your specialist will assess any scans you have had and ask in-depth, follow-up questions.
You may be referred for further investigations such as radiology, pathology or procedures to enable a correct and complete diagnosis to be made.
Treatment
Once a diagnosis has been made, your specialist will recommend an integrated, multidisciplinary treatment plan tailored to your condition to help you recover.
Treatment may include a variety of pain procedures or surgery as well as non-surgical treatment such as physiotherapy, depending on your condition.
Other medical specialists may also be consulted to ensure you receive the best possible care.
For patients electing to have surgery, Briz Brain & Spine uses the Surgical Outcome Study (SOS) assessment tool which measures the benefit of surgical procedures to patients over a number of years.
Further information about SOS will be provided if you elect to have surgical treatment.
Recovery
Our team will support you through your recovery with post-operative information, access to physiotherapy or other rehabilitation programs and regular follow-up appointments.
Supporting You
