About This Condition

Also known as skier's thumb, this condition is an acute sprain or tear of the UCL on the ulnar side of the metacarpal-phalangeal (MCP) joint of the thumb. The injury can cause pain and a feeling of instability in the thumb and can limit movements such as squeezing and gripping.
