Optic Nerve Gliomas

About This Condition

Also called optic pathway gliomas, these tumours are slow growing tumours that arise in or around the optic nerve which connects the eye to the brain. As the tumour progresses, it presses on the optic nerve, causing vision to worsen. Blindness can occur but only in about 5% of cases.
